PHAROS AT IBC 2006 Broadcast Exhibition

Asian and Middle East digital broadcasters update. News of IBC Amsterdam Exhibition and Conference September 8-12.

WIDENING THE BROADCAST HORIZON: Pharos Communications of Reading Berkshire is expanding its powerful broadcast process management system, enabling television networks to widen their business horizons without increased cost. While file- based management systems bring many operational efficiencies to television broadcaster businesses but the technologies and formats can hinder a work flow if not handled correctly. Pharos will demonstrate the integration of both broadcast and commodity IT systems and show how to make workflow easy to control and manage. Pharos will announce recently installed and deployed large systems at IBC.

Since its formation in 1997, Pharos has developed a wide range of systems for automating the flow of material through broadcast facilities including playout presentation, media asset management, archiving, and facility management.
