artec technologies new Broadcast and Internet Streaming products at the International Broadcasting Convention, IBC 2006 Amsterdam Sept 12-16:

artec technologies of Germany has two new product lines:

* XBL BROADCAST LOGGER - The XBL Broadcast Logger unifies compliance recording, archiving, monitoring, streaming and media service into one unit. Multiple numbers of TV and radio channels can be recorded together with metadata such as EPG, as-run-logs, closed captions and teletext. The recording duration of 30/60/90 or more days is determined only by the size of the hardware capacity. The XBL Broadcast Logger system supports analog, digital and DVB-S inputs and is operated and administered via network-based web clients - plug-ins are not necessary. Clips can be produced in WM9, MPEG-2, Real or 3G format.

* XENTAURIX IPTV PLATFORM – Introducing a Microsoft TV/IPTV- compatible media service platform utilising IPTV solutions for corporate TV, movie on demand, e-learning, personal video recorder or video search engine. Uniquely combining Internet live streaming, server-end recording and the parallel integration of metadata, XentauriX empowers the user to track TV broadcasts and recordings wherever and whenever he wants - via set-top boxes, desktop PCs, notebooks, mobiles, handhelds, etc. Even during transmission, recordings are at clients' disposal for instant replay. Metadata enables fast recording retrieval and allows clients to save broadcast and recording bookmarks with commentaries.

artec technologies of Germany develops, manufactures and distributes digital transmitting and recording technology for audio and video content for intranet and internet broadcast streaming/distribution, e.g. IPTV (Internet Protocol for Television/Digital Streaming Video).
