ITVN Asia Launches in Japan

Irvine California based, Interactive Television Networks, (OTC:ITTV.OB) an internet protocol television (IPTV) provider, has launched its ITVN digital broadcast over broadband service to Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan under the brand of ITVN Asia.

ITVN Asia has pre-purchased ITVN subscription services and set top box hardware and has committed to short and long-term subscriber targets.

Programming to Asia will focus initially on a flagship movie channel, Silver Screen plus a host of music, sports and video game channels, chosen out of the 130 curently available on the US distribution network.

ITVN uses broadband connectivity to set top boxes linked directly to a television receiver bypassing the need for a PC, usually the case with standard IPTV protocols.

ITVN has commented on the availability of high-speed internet infrastructure across Asia Pacific as being attractive for expansion, particularly Japan where IPTV customers are on fibre-optic networks delivering speeds of up to 100mbps.

ITVN is publicly traded on the United States OTC market under the symbol ITTV.OB
