MediaCorp radio and TV stations, the de-facto state broadcasting organisation in Singapore pulls all the stops out in its broadcasts in digital of the country's National Day celebrations on August 9.
The Highlight - the National Day Parade 2006 is covered ‘live' by all media outlets.
MediaCorp TV – Channel 5, Channel 8, Channel U and TV Mobile – and MediaCorp TV12 – Suria and Vasantham Central – will telecast the NDP 2006 ‘live’ from 6 pm to 8.30pm on 9 August 2006.
The four official national languages are handled appropriately across the radio and TV networks.
In television, the commentary in English is to be on Channel 5 and TV Mobile, in Mandarin (Putonghua) on Channel 8 and Channel "U", in Malay on Suria and in Tamil on Vasantham Central.
MediaCorp radio stations 938LIVE, Capital 95.8FM, Warna 94.2FM and Oli 96.8FM program the event between 5.30pm and 8.15pm in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, respectively.
