TVNZ+BVITV agree Multi-year Disney Deal

Auckland -- Stephen Smith, TVNZ's Head of Content says that Television New Zealand (TVNZ) and Buena Vista International, have entered into a long term contract for Walt Disney television programming and feature films. TVOne is to continue to carry programs, Desperate Housewives, Lost, and Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs. TV2 will slot Disney's family-friendly, quality children's animation, and major movie box office attractions such as The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest.

Steve Macallister, BVITV Asia-Pacific's senior VP and MD finalised the deal for Buena Vista.

No financial details have been disclosed.
