Diary Note - Beijing DAB Conference April 20-21

[Digital Broadcasters Vendor News and e-broadcastnewsasia bring you this service announcement] WorldDAB is the key organisor of the "Digital Broadcasting - At the cutting Edge of Media Convergence" a two-day Conference at the Kerry Centre, Beijing, April 20-21. Other joint organisors are Beijing Jolon and Radio Beijing Corporation; Sponsors-Linfair Engineering Group, Irdeto Access, BT Movio, Factum Electronics, Frontier Silicon, Future Waves, Telechips, Blaupunkt and Radioscape.

The event will focus on technical issues including transmission, product and applications for DAB/DMB services; marketing, and progress of DAB/DMB in China.

China is already very active with Digital Audio Broadcasting trials and commercial services on air in Beijing, Tiajin, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Foshan.

WorldDAB members will provide wide ranging demonstrations of the very latest DAB and Mobile TV products.

WorldDAB says China is a key market for the DAB, DMB, and DAB-IP family of standards. Not only is it the powerhouse of the global supply chain for products, with the largest population in the world, but the adoption of DAB in China will also have a huge effect on the global development of DAB.

On April 20th and 21st, the international DAB conference, ‘At the Cutting Edge of Media Convergence’, takes place at the Kerry Centre in Beijing.
