Greetings and Blessings to Vatican Radio on its 75th Anniversary

Rome -- Om March 3, Pope Benedict XVI visited the studios of Vatican Radio, the digital radio station of the Holy See, in Palazzo Pio in commemoration of the station's 75th anniversary. The event was covered live by Vatican TV and of course the radio station.

The pontiff met with the station's 39 language sections (many Asian) and viewed its new facilities.

Vatican radio was started by Guglielmo Marconi on February 12 1931 and was inaugurated by Pope Pius XVI.
